Other key characters include Daenerys Targaryen, who died quite sadly as the closest persons betrayed her and was, therefore, murdered by Snow. It was pitifully saddening that a more influential character could die this way; however, it presented an important message: anyone in power may end up doing bad to even people they intend well with. In the story, consequences befall Tyrion Lannister for all he had done, but later ended by helping pick king Bran.
The remaining members of House Lannister also saw their reign come crashing down with Cersei meeting a befitting end under tonnes of rubble along with twin brother/lover Jaime Lannister. Their deaths went to put an end for one of the most notorious families in Westeros.
